This view of the Bass Harbor Lighthouse in Acadia National Park, within the village of Bass Harbor, Maine, was taken from the vantage point one gets when following the path to the left side of the lighthouse (while facing the ocean) and then continuing down the cliff-side stairs. The sun in this image was setting behind the cliffs and lighthouse to the west. The position of the sun can vary quite a bit depending on the time of year.
