Maritime Museum - Acadia National Park, Maine
The National Park Maritime Museum is next to the Islesford Dock on Little Cranberry Island, Maine which is off the southern coast of Mount Desert Island. There are a variety of historical displays as well as some beautiful model sailing ships. At one time, ships sailed from the Maine coast carrying goods to various parts of the world including the Caribbean, South America, and Europe as well as the major seaports on the Eastern Seaboard of the U.S.A..
