The best way to access the Carriage Road Bridge at Hadlock Falls is to park in the Parkman Mountain Parking Area off Route 3 and 198 that is located at the northwestern side of Upper Hadlock Pond in Northeast Harbor, a village in Mount Desert, Maine. You would get on the Carriage Road that is right next to the parking lot, and walk about one mile East. Make sure to take a map, compass, water, and your cell phone. Be aware that cell phone service while on Mount Desert Island is spotty at best because of there being so many mountains and so few towers.
