Nice Place To Start With A Picnic

Greg A. Hartford, photographer, author, publisherMany people who come to Acadia National Park on the coast of Maine are not even aware that there is a small island between Trenton on the mainland and Mount Desert Island. Route 3 crosses over it. Fewer people know that there is a nice picnic area on the eastern side of the island. It also happens to be a great spot for capturing some sunrises. I have done much photography in and around Acadia National Park. There were mornings when I was rushing to Mount Desert Island from somewhere inland, only to arrive later than expected. I chose to turn off into the picnic area. It has been a lifesaver many times. As a side note, there is also a restroom there.
