Densley forested 79 acre Preble Island is located close to the southern shore of Sorrento, Maine and is managed by a non-government conservation agency. It is common to see roosting eagles in the trees overlooking the cobble beaches. Sorrento is a fishing and resort community on the southern part of Waukeag Neck. The entrance to the Schoodic Peninsula section of Acadia National Park is approximately 14 miles driving distance away. |
