Rolling Island - Acadia National Park
This shows 5 acre Rolling Island in Schoodic Harbor as viewed from Acadia National Park on the eastern side of Schoodic Peninsula. It is actually part of the town of Winter Harbor, Maine. Bald Eagles nest on this island. To protect the eagles and other nesting birds, the island is closed February 15 through August 31. Image capture was on August 30 at about 6:12 PM.
