Western Island - Corea, Maine
This photo of Western Island was captured shortly before sunset from a spot near Cranberry Point in the village of Corea, part of Gouldsboro, Maine. Corea is a classic Maine fishing village that is filled with many lobster boats. Western Island is one of several islands fairly close to the shore of the mainland at this location. This area is close to the Acadia National Park section that is at Schoodic Peninsula. Beyond this to the South is the open Gulf of Maine. Image capture was on August 30 at about 6:46 PM.
