North View from Thunder Hole at Sunrise - Acadia National Park
When the first rays of sunlight hit the granite along the shore near Thunder Hole, it can have a striking reddish color as seen here. It especially happens with the pink granite when it is wet or damp. To the north in the cove is Sand Beach.
