Lots of Photo Opportunities

Greg A. Hartford, photographer, author, publisherTrenton, Maine has a lot more for visitors than some may assume when driving through on Route 3 on their way to Bar Harbor or elsewhere on Mount Desert Island (MDI). Certainly, most will notice the views of Cadillac Mountain in the distance, but also the many places beside the road that prepare and serve the Maine Lobster. The visuals that will stick most in the heart and mind will be the first open ocean views when reaching the bridge. This section is called the Mount Desert Narrows. On the East is Eastern Bay and on the West is Western Bay. Between the mainland and MDI is a little island called Thompson Island which is also part of Trenton but also is part of Acadia National Park. This whole section is a gold mine for capturing some memorable images. Also, consider that much of mainland Trenton is oceanfront so that are numerous opportunities there as well.
