Maine Lobster Boat Leaves Harbor

One of the main coastal attractions in Bar Harbor during the summer are the lobstermen and women hard at work harvesting the delicious Maine Lobster all around the rocky coast of Mount Desert Island. This image shows a lobster boat heading out-to-sea at sunrise to collect the next seafood bonanza harvested from the traps laid out the day before. Much of the activity in the harbor would have been difficult if it was not for an unsung hero; the breakwater that stretches out from Bald Porcupine Island that serves to protect the harbor.
