There was a long wait for the sun to shine below the clouds just before sunset on Cadillac Mountain in Acadia. Eagle Lake is far below.

Cadillac Mountain Sunset over Eagle Lake

This Cadillac Mountain sunset was captured on the last day of August. There was bad weather earlier in the day complete with lightening but cleared up for a while in the afternoon. Then, the clouds came back along with a lot of wind. Many people left but I waited, hoping that the sun would finally break through just before it set. The wind started blowing so hard that I had to hold onto my tripod to keep it steady. Rain drops started falling but then, the sun showed its face for a short while. Far below in the distance is Eagle Lake which adds a nice point of interest with the reflection in it. Image Specs: Canon EOS R5 Mirrorless, Canon 24-105mm f/4.0 L Series Lens at 24mm, f/8, 1/40 Second, ISO 200.
