Autumn colors of red on Cadillac Mountain in Acadia National Park

Autumn on Cadillac Mountain in Acadia - Wild Blueberries

The colors of autumn are often quite striking on top of Cadillac Mountain as shown here. Because of the elevation, the colors start to change sooner than at ocean level so keep that in mind when visiting Bar Harbor and Acadia. This view is to the south. The rich red color is partly from the sunlight, partly from the fall season, and from the wild blueberry plants whose leaves are often red.
