Gorham Mountain Photo Gallery

Images in this gallery were captured from Gorham Mountain in Acadia National Park on Mount Desert Island, Maine. The Gorham Mountain Trail is accessed from the Park Loop Road. There is a small parking area after Thunder Hole right next to the road on the right side before Otter Cliff.

The Gorham Mountain Summit is accessed via the Gorham Mountain Trail as one might expect. This moderately difficult trail is in an amazingly advantageous location in Acadia National Park for capturing great images of many of the “must see” locations. The images on this page give a quick snapshot of what one might expect to see. But, by no means, is this all. I especially like doing the hike very early in the morning so as to be in position about 30 minutes before the sun rises. Unfortunately, this can be especially early during the month of June when sunrise is at 4:46 AM! Maine is the most eastern State within its Time Zone.
