Carriage Road at Jordan Pond

This image captures a horse-drawn carriage as it crosses the small stone bridge at the southern end of Jordan Pond on Mount Desert Island in Acadia National Park. To the right of the horses lies the path that leads to the Jordan Pond House or branches off to the left to follow the shoreline. On the opposite side of the bridge, one can choose to continue along the Carriage Road or turn right to follow the Jordan Pond Shore Trail on the pond’s western side.
