Carriage Road near Parkman Mountain Parking

This section of the Carriage Road is located just a short distance east of the Parkman Mountain Parking Area in Acadia National Park, on the north side of Upper Hadlock Pond in Northeast Harbor, Maine. The route generally heads east towards the Carriage Road Bridge at Hadlock Falls. Unfortunately, the area experienced a particularly dry year. Nevertheless, it's a wonderful opportunity for visitors to enjoy such a beautiful morning. How often does one get the chance to walk peacefully through the heart of a forest, undisturbed by wildlife, and breathe fresh air? Let us hope that our country continues to support National Parks for everyone to enjoy.
