Sieur de Monts Spring House in Acadia
The Sieur de Monts Spring House was built in Acadia National Park by George B. Dorr in 1909. On a nearby rock he carved “The Sweet Waters of Acadia” which can still be seen today. This serves as an important monument to the Park's formation and feels like hallowed ground. This is a good place to start in developing an understanding and appreciation for the Park.
