Thunder Hole Crashing Wave - Acadia

The wave depicted in this image, taken at Thunder Hole in Acadia National Park, is larger than the one before it. Imagine standing next to the railings in the observation area when this wave crashes. The timing of such waves can be deceptive, catching anyone off guard. Even with a storm front 300 miles out at sea, the weather here can remain warm and sunny with little wind.
