Cadillac Mountain Tribal Sunrise

Acadia National Park, Maine

Once in a while a thick morning fog rolls in off the ocean and delights park visitors who arrive early at Cadillac Mountain to view an Acadia National Park sunrise. It becomes almost surreal at times like this. The mounds are where the fog has rolled over islands and Schoodic Peninsula further out. In recent years, so many people have wanted to watch sunrises from Cadillac Mountain that the National Park Service has had to restrict access.
