Sand Beach Symphony of Colors
This shows Sand Beach during early morning. As the sun starts to rise in the East (to the left), the light hits Otter Cliff (seen in the distance) first. Between the sun and this spot is Great Head which blocks the sunlight momentarily. As the sun begins to rise above this headland, the golden glow creeps down the cliffs and rocks on the right which makes for a nice contrast with areas still in shadow, especially when the pink granite is wet. The contrast is put into overdrive with the addition of the cold northern Atantic ocean water. Image specs: Date of September 24 shortly after 7:00 AM using Canon EOS 5D Mark IV Full Frame. One exposure at 1/8 second using Tamron 15-30mm f/2.8 lens at 30mm, f/22, ISO 125.
