Jordan Pond - Cold October Morning
This was a cold and windy October morning at Jordan Pond in Acadia National Park in Maine. The sun was just rising up behind the small mountain that is on the right side. Most of the scene was still in shadow and it was in later October but there was still some good autumn color to be found. To smooth out the rough water, I decided to use a 10-stop neutral density filter. Using a tripod is essential as is a cable or wireless shutter release. Image specs: Date of October 20 shortly after 8:00 AM using Canon EOS 5D Mark IV Full Frame Camera. A 10-stop neutral density filter was used. There was one 62 second exposure with a Canon 24-105mm f/4 "L" Series lens at 24mm, f/22, ISO 200.
