This is the view from the Sorrento, Maine Public Dock parking area. There are often a variety of boats moored here from lobster boats to fancy yachts. The land seen to the left in this picture is Preble Island where there are often nesting American Eagles. The large hills in the distance are about 4-6 miles away and are in Bar Harbor on Mount Desert Island. Image capture was on August 24 at about 7:41 AM.
