Flowering Arch to Green Moss

If you enjoy flowering gardens, this is a must-visit destination on Mount Desert Island. Situated in Northeast Harbor in the south-central region of the island, it is conveniently located at the intersection of Route 3 and Route 198, just north of the village. Even if flowers aren't your primary interest, you'll appreciate the exquisite design and layout of the plants and pathways, which are arranged in an elegant Japanese style. These first nine photos offer a glimpse of the delightful sights that await you and your family, from the natural flowering archway to the reflective pond, and the enchanting, Hobbit-like fantasy created by the lush green moss and ferns.
