Asticou Terraces Observation Deck
Asticou Terraces has a large observational area that overlooks Northeast Harbor (as shown here). It is part of a memorial that honors Joseph Henry Curtis, the landscape architect who designed the terraces leading up to Thuya Garden and Lodge, and who was a vigilant protector of the land's pristine rugged beauty. A large plaque is out-of-view to the left but can be seen in the previous photo of this series.
