The Beehive near Sand Beach in Acadia
This view of The Beehive mountain and Sand Beach in Acadia National Park is from the Great Head Hiking Trail which is accessed at the eastern end of Sand Beach. As the tide comes in, ocean water fills up the area to the right. Below this vantage point there are some granite blocks which act like stairs and so begins the climb upward.
