Very Clear Water of Jordan Pond

Jordan Pond, located on Mount Desert Island in Acadia National Park, holds the record for the highest visibility of any lake or pond in Maine, with an impressive 60 feet. On average, its visibility measures 46 feet. While canoes and kayaks are permitted on the water, motorboats and swimming are prohibited.
