By Route 3 on MDI or the Sea
You can easily spend a minimum of 4 hours exploring Northeast Harbor, especially if you want to get some great photographs. There are three ways to get here by car, and another more spectacular one by boat if you have the means. A common way is via Route 3 from Seal Harbor. As you approach Northeast Harbor, the entrance to Thuya Garden is on your right, and views of the harbor will be on your left. If arriving via Route 3 out of Somesville (northern side), Asticou Azalea Garden is on the left, as is the harbor. The village will be straight ahead.
