Carriage Road Gatehouse in Northeast Harbor

This image depicts the Carriage Road Gatehouse, situated in the village of Northeast Harbor, Maine, along Routes 3 and 198, just south of Upper Hadlock Pond, before reaching the village center on Mount Desert Island. The gatehouse is not open to public access, as the adjacent building on the right is a private residence. The exquisite stonework of the structure is a recurring feature throughout Acadia National Park.
