Route 233, which stretches from Bar Harbor to Somesville, remains hidden from view on the left. This section of the road offers breathtaking scenery, particularly when gazing across the lake. The Carriage Road ahead leads to a small parking area with portable restroom facilities before continuing its path around the lake.
