Margaret Todd Windjammer in front of Sheep Porcupine Island
This is a well known view that visitors are greeted with when at the public pier or Shore Path in Bar Harbor, Maine. Sheep Porcupine Island is seen in the distance. Its unique shape is the result of huge glaciers moving across the land many thousands of years ago. You may be surprised to learn that Sheep Porcupine Island is not located in Bar Harbor but rather in Gouldsboro whose town center is all the way over to the Schoodic Peninsula!
