Schoodic Peninsula - Late Afternoon
One of the great things about Schoodic Peninsula in Acadia National Park on the mainland is that there are numerous unobstructed views to the East, South, and Western side of the peninsula. This afternoon view is from Ravens Nest on the western side while looking toward Mount Desert Island. This is not a safe place for children as the path is right next to steep cliffs and is often moist and slippery. Even when dry, there can be small round pebbles that act like marbles or bearings. Everyone should use extreme caution here. Because of the high dynamic range or contrast in the scene, five images at different shutter speeds were taken. Image specs: Date of September 16 at about 4:00 PM using Canon EOS 5D Mark IV Full Frame Camera with the Tamron 15-30mm f/2.8 lens at 15mm, f/22, & ISO 100. Exposures were 1/800, 1/200, 1/50, 1/13, 0.3 seconds.
