Sand Beach Gallery 1 - Sand Beach in Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor, Maine may be a small beach at 290 yards, but it is a very popular one and is in a spectacular location on the eastern side of Mount Desert Island. Access is via the Park Loop Road.

Explore Both Ends of the Beach

The photos of Sand Beach on this page, and the one that follows, should give an indication as to the many difference appearances displayed here. There are lots of photo opportunities on both ends of the beach as you should see, especially when considering the different times of day, and even seasons. Having visited here many times in my youth, this place is filled with childhood memories but also some from my adulthood as I explored more areas. One thing that happens when we get into trying to capture great images is that it is really a practice in “seeing” as much as learning how to do the technical adjustments.
