Cadillac Mountain Gallery 2

Cadillac Mountain Gallery 2 includes a view from the mainland, and a view of Southwest Harbor. There is a stunning photo of a sunrise over the thick ground covered fog with the silhouettes of people observing. This image was chosen as a cover for a Portland, Maine magazine. Cadillac Mountain is on the northeastern side of Mount Desert Island in Acadia National Park.

Choices

I have captured a lot of images from Cadillac Mountain over the many years that I have been coming here. In the early years, I always used transparency or slide film for its higher contrast, it more exact nature with exposures, and because it was preferred by print publishers. Much has changed since then in a big way. But the one thing that has not changed for me is the difficult time I sometimes have in selecting which images to show, and which ones to let stay in obscurity. For an artist, creations are conceptually almost like giving birth to children. The images are born out of our inner selves in collusion with Nature.
