Jordan Pond on a Calm Morning

Due to Maine's northern and eastern location, you have to rise very early to witness the first light of day, particularly in June. However, at Jordan Pond, it's slightly better since the sun must ascend above Pemetic Mountain, positioned directly to the east. This morning was one of those exceptionally tranquil ones, with the deadwood providing a pleasant accent.
