Schoodic Peninsula with Western View
Schoodic Peninsula, located on the mainland, has a great western view of Cadillac Mountain on Mount Desert Island as shown here from Ravens Nest. Both areas are within Acadia National Park, Maine. This is a short distance from the loop road that circumvents the peninsula. The host city to the North is Winter Harbor which is accessed off of U.S. Coastal Route One. This is a dangerous place for children because the paths are right next to the cliffs. I suggest not bringing them here. Use extreme caution as the grass and rocks can be very slippery and the smaller stones are like trying to stand on marbles. Because of the wide range and contrast between light and shadow, five images at different shutter speeds were taken. Image specs: Date of September 16 at 6:34 PM using Canon EOS 5D Mark IV Full Frame Camera and Tamron 15-30mm f/2.8 lens at 15mm, f/22, ISO 100. Exposures were 1/10, 0.3, 1, 3.2, 10 seconds.
