Photo Gallery 2 presents additional images of Corea, a coastal town near the Schoodic Peninsula in Hancock County, Maine. In this bustling harbor, events can unfold rapidly as lobstermen, who work tirelessly, are eager to leave the port to check their traps. The area offers numerous photo opportunities.

Attentive Awareness

Early in the morning, when the light is still low, I set up my camera on a tripod with a shutter release cable attached to ensure the necessary sharpness. Once the sun rises higher and the light increases to a certain level, I remove the camera from the tripod, switch on the stabilization, and start shooting handheld at lower apertures. In harbors like this, multiple events can unfold simultaneously in different directions. You must be ready to capture these moments quickly, or the opportunity will be lost.
