Jones Cove in Down East Maine
This shows another part of the Jones Cove inlet located at the northwestern corner of the Gouldsboro Peninsula in Coastal Hancock County in Gouldsboro, Maine. This is referred to as being in Down East Maine. This cove must have provided some protection from the waves and winds coming off of the Gulf of Maine that is to the South and made sense as it being the first settlement location.
