Obtain Marriage License

Obtaining a marriage license in Maine is a very easy procedure. There are three locations on Mount Desert Island and many more on the mainland. To verify, we suggest that you call ahead and check their hours that they are open. Smaller villages may close early. If you are wanting to select a location where there is good autumn colors during the ceremony, note that fall colors peak inland before they do on the coast.
