Acadia Bursting with Light

The photographs on this page exhibit a diverse array of landscapes. Despite their differences, they share a couple of similarities. Firstly, all were taken in the early morning hours. Secondly, they all depict locations on Mount Desert Island. When capturing landscapes, one essential tool is the circular polarizer lens filter. This filter reduces reflected and scattered light, thereby enhancing the colors in the images. It's important to remember that the effect is most pronounced when shooting perpendicular to the sunlight's direction or source. This angle typically produces the highest contrast due to the presence of shadows.
